Zebrar used the magic of Augmented Reality to create an award winning  activation, which brought World Square Shopping Centre's Dragon Sculpture to life for Lunar New Year 2018.  Partnering with VANDAL we created an integrated campaign comprising of 3 experiences:

  1. Augmented Reality Activation
  2. Augmented Reality Treasure Hunt
  3. Live Screen Mixed Reality  Experience

This experience won multiple prestigious awards including:

- Winner Gold “Best Integrated Digital Campaign” at the 2018 Global ICSC Asia-Pacific Awards in Kuala Lumpur;

- Winner Gold  “Most Innovative Campaign” at the 2018 Shopping Centre Council of Australia Awards in Sydney, and

- Silver  “Augmented Reality” at the 2018 AEAF Award.


After the success of this activation, Zebrar was asked to create a new and exciting shopper experience in 2019. We developed the ‘Lucky Pig AR Game’. This web based augmented reality game encouraged shoppers to find, scan & collect lucky red packets with their smart device, unlock exclusive retail offers and play an innovative scratch and win game for the chance to win a daily prize.

Screen content for the game was designed by Experiential Design company VANDAL, who worked with the World Square Marketing team on conceptualizing and bringing to life the ‘Year of the Pig’ campaign. The campaign quickly went viral and was trending in the top hashtags internationally on Chinese social media platform Weibo.
