For Christmas 2020 Zebrar created an interactive web AR experience viewed natively on IOS and Android at 3 iconic locations within Melbourne's CBD. Federation Square was transformed into a magical Christmas winter wonderland where visitors had a snowball fight with the cheeky elves, helped the polar bear catch a fish and watch penguins skate elegantly across the ice.

At the State Library, guests could select one of two classic Christmas story options performed by our life-sized AR Snowman. Above Bourke Street Mall, visitors watched Santa’s AR sleigh fly through the sky delivering presents, before taking a selfie with Santa as a digital festive memento of the first post covid Christmas.

This was a bespoke solution utilizing a mixture of technologies including web -based marker detection and tracking, world aligned 360 takeovers, interactive Web AR and real-time location mapping.
