Celebrating the launch of LG's InstaView fridge with MoodUP™ LED colour panels that can change to suit your vibe - MoodUP by LG is an interactive and immersive activation that was showcased at Sydney’s annual Vivid Festival.
Partnering with Omnicom Media Group, the Zebrar team led the design and production of the end-to-end immersive activation. Taking inspiration from LG’s MoodUP technology, we created larger-than-life, mood influenced dynamic particle sequences that drew guests into the space by displaying the animation on a wrap-around LED wall on the outside of the activation. Guests were then welcomed by docents, who used our custom-built tablet application to on-board and introduce guests to the experience. In addition, the application was also able to remotely trigger and monitor the interactive experiences within. Guests were invited to enter one of two interactive tunnel experiences. Built with Unity, we used skeletal tracking to track guest’s positions and used that data to influence real-time particle behaviours. Guests were asked questions about their mood and by moving left or right, were able to answer the questions with particles following their position and changing animation in real time based on their movement.
The experience culminated in a celebration social media moment that was captured with a 360º camera, and guests were immediately able to receive their video by scanning a digital QR code, as well as collect their personalised itinerary for Vivid - based on their specific mood as per their movement/answers in the tunnel.
